Gonna be in Louisville for a relatively brief time (only 2 full days, with part of one of those occupied) for something later this summer, and staying Downtown.

Any advice if I only have time to hit, say 3 distilleries or tastings, which ones (you can list as many as you want though)?

Other things that are MUST do?

Restaurants and bars?

Definitely do Old Forester, if Evan Williams Epxeriance, Michters, Pearless and Angels Envy are all within walking distance. Which ever you decide to do, make reservations because they will sell out

If you’re a baseball fan, the Louisville Slugger museum was cool

Go to Stizel-Weller Distillery.

It’s got great History and is basically right outside of town. Maybe a 5-10 min drive from downtown.

Outside of the distillery recommendations already made:

La Bodeguita de Mima is a must to eat if you’re staying downtown. Great Cuban and place is designed with a 50s Havana theme. A harder table to get then the rest, so plan ahead with reservations.

Proof on Main at the 21c hotel is another fav. Will also need reservations but sources local farm to table.

Jeff Ruby’s if you’re a steak fan.

Mayan Café is another fav of ours, run by Chef Ucan. It’s Mayan fusion, which is pretty unique. Usually needs reservations if it’s a weekend.

For breakfast/brunch hit Wild Eggs at their downtown location.
