I don’t want to trade BI, even if that would make us better on paper for the next 2 years.

Durant is 33 and BI is 24. Durant is great but he is out of this prime. BI is just entering into to it. BI could conceivably be a better player than current Durant in the next 2 years and he still wouldn’t have peaked.
