So make knives, matches, cars, hammers illegal? Rope, string, rat poison, bathtubs, pillows... let me know when to stop.

I see you prefer women to be raped and not defend themselves.

If guns were as useful for not shooting people as a car I’d probably be ok with them.

But that’s really what they’re for.

You are absolutely wrong. Research it.

Pretty sure the context of the second amendment means the ability to own and use firearms. Hard to use without ammunition.

And arms mean weapons, and is a rifle without ammunition a even a weapon? “ a thing designed or used for inflicting bodily harm or physical damage.” pretty sure ammunition is part of the design to inflict bodily harm

quote:

A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed.

I’ll do a simple analogy for you

Imagine if it said: a well regulated system of travel, being necessary to the economy of a free state, and the right to keep and bear vehicles, shall not be infringed.

Then some guy says it only mentions vehicles not gas/energy.

Do you think banning fuel infringes on that system of travel that was deemed necessary?

Today I learned:

Intentionally murdering people by hitting them with a car not as bad as Intentionally murdering people with a gun.

Please keep going, Sammy, this is fun

Trump, when he was able to ban bump stocks after the infamous Vegas massacre on 10/1/2017.

Which was deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court and now any EO order trying to ban anything gun related has to be uphold by the SC before it can put in place. The day Trump banned bump stocks, sales halted, which the SC ruled was wrong and shouldn’t have been halted until they could review the case.

When examining a law or more importantly something our founders agreed was a right, it’s important to look at the intent of the law more than the wording.

What happened in prior recent history to lead the founders to believe that the general populace should be able to bear arms?

Why do you believe the founders thought this was important?

Or maybe we could acknowledge that our society in some respects has failed.

I hate all of you people. frick you.

Tell me there is any way that all this bullshite doesn’t end in civil war. They likely stole and election and are going to make a push on 2nd amendment rights before midterms. And we’ve got these assholes virtue signaling about frickin mental health screenings. Like we didn’t get fed a weekly load of bullshite lies the last two years that got us into this mess. The same people that two weeks ago were crying in the streets because women would lose their right to murder their babies are now screaming “Think of the children!!!”

There is no reasoning with these people. There will be no compromise. And they will go too far.

It won't, the second the government has a green light to disarm the populace, they will blitzkrieg it. There won't be a civil war, just a resistance while neighbor A rats on neighbor B for good boy points.

murderers will use the most convenient tool available

if you got rid of handguns, they will use rifles

if you got rid of rifles, the will use shotguns

if you got rid of shotgus, they will use cars, etc.,etc., etc.

this wil! keep going until we get down to sharp sticks

Why not pass a law making it a crime to murder people?

Why not simply put one of these stickers on all schools so that the gunman will see it and retreat?

Or we could make murder a crime. Maybe that would help. SHALL NOT INFRINGE.

It’s not the gun or the ammo’s fault there are lunatics out there, and neither can harm anyone on their own.
