father was National Guard Full time 35yr retired. 3 tours in the Middle. He said he has smelled some shite. However, he said the worse smell he has ever witnessed was decaying bodies in caskets that floated up out of the ground during a flood. he said it was like a foam like substance. The trucks that they put them in had the smell in them for over a year. The Guardsmen would rub as much vicks vaper rub on their top lip as they could handle to fight against it.
