re: Is Gen Z etc totally out of touch about salaries?

Inflation, companies not keeping up with increases of other things (college/housing) and short term profit mindsets created this mess. I found out what some new hire made at the job I'm leaving and it was supposedly 15k more than me. I was established, talented, and everything else, companies are massively overpaying.
