problem is they want to start out at mid career earnings with zero experience and limited qualifications as opposed to entering the work force at a level commensurate with those "skills" and improving their position based on skill and merit
The lack of self awareness when calling them entitled is hilarious They are getting paid a relative wage so much less, and are being told “you should shut up and take it”
Go back in time to your first job. Now cut that salary by 40%. Would you have simply “shut up and worked”?

my starting wages at the company I'm at were at poverty level, especially since I was initially assigned to NYC, I had the patience and foresight, and sense of delayed gratification to realize that this job, in just a few short years would turn into a lucrative, high paying gig with excellent retirement and benefits, 38 years later it has exceeded all of my wildest projections
