With the cost of everything now days,
$15/hour is some BS.
I used to think otherwise but that really is impossible to pay rent and vehicle cost just to live and get to work

Between inflation and the increases in the minimum wage nationally and in many areas, $15/hr ain’t what it used to be.
$7 was minimum wage until recently and it is around $10 nationally now and closer to $15 in many markets.
Whenever the minimum wage goes up, it means that the wage necessary to get anything above dregs goes up a few dollar an hour above that.
If someone isn’t in a position with growth potential or just desperately in need of an initial job to get experience, those jobs aren’t appealing and it is better to stay flexible until you find something you want.
You can see it as being unrealistic by the potential employees but if you aren’t paying them enough to consider you over McDonald’s, you aren’t going to be getting many great choices.
