Nobody can live off 31k right now, much less 10 years ago.

Average rent in Houston is like $1500 a month.

$500 a week after taxes literally covers rent and nothing else.

Try living in lafayette, the rent is the same as Houston but the opportunities are far more limited. Muh small city with a big city attitude BS.

It’s not $1500 for a 1 bedroom, if you have a bigger place then you should be earning a lot or have a roomate. Plenty of people have roommates.

Everyone wants a flashy car and to live by themselves now and then complain about their finances. Do like everyone else did up until 2015 and drive a beater and live with roommates or get married. Sorry not sorry.
