I live in Lexington, KY, not too far from Columbus. I would love there in a heartbeat if I had to move.

Greensboro don’t know much about.

Akron, L O L might as well live in north Baton Rouge

It's not that bad, and the OP can certainly get far more for his money outside Akron/Canton than in Columbus.

It's certainly much better than Youngsville.... not that Akron is very good. It's pretty easy to get to from Canton or other rural areas nearby, but I'd stay far away from Cleveland. If he wants a lot of land, moving south of Akron might be a solid choice.

The weather will be better the farther away from the lake he gets. Akron/Canton has their own airport too.


OP: Have you visited all of these areas? What did you/your spouse think? What's important to you?

Lexington still has those green belts to prevent sprawl?

Might be hard to find affordable 2-3 acres of land outside town there. But otherwise that's a cool city if you can find employment there.
