So... you want some rich frick to spend his money on worthless apartments in order to spend more money tearing down those, more money building a bunch of bars so that will ---appeal to recruits??
How about you just pay them an NIL? A lot cheaper and lot quicker.

True.

But forget athletic recruits. How about just general student recruiting. Imagine coming down to visit LSU and discovering arguably the main nightlife spot is LITERALLY at the entrance to a crime-riddled slum. Then, you go to a place like Athens, GA and visit UGA's campus with great entertainment venues almost right across the street. What would you find more appealing? Particularly as a parent?

Tigerland has long had great potential. But 20 years ago it was mostly a slum. I know, I lived there. I can't even imagine what it is like now.

It applies to them too. Just look at the development of government street and see the change in culture that visits that part of town now.

This wouldn't be an overnight thing. Shitey buildings in shitey areas get torn down in order to improve the area and attract a less shitey crowd. That's something that developers do all the time.

Are you joking or just uninformed? LSU turns away THOUSANDS of student applicants each year. They don't need trashy bars to attract regular students. This thread was about attracting STUDENT-ATHLETES, which is stupid in the age of NIL.
