Zero.. there are zero must visits in Houston .. I spent a long time living there, and it’s not a bad place to live, or to start a career- but with the exception of NASA an hour away, there is nothing in Houston to indicate you are there and not in Cleveland or Kansas City or any other generic city.. Say what you want about New Orleans, but at least if youre standing in most places in NOLA (and not dodging bullets)- you would know youre not in any other city….. Hell, when i was in Houston they didnt even have an In n Out Burger yet, to me that would be the only ‘must do’ in Houston now .

Exactly.
Hot, humid, boring.
Nothing aesthetically pleasing, just a flat concrete jungle with no personality. Friendly people and good restaurants in a very shitty locale.

Outside of Tex mex restaurants, I agree with this.

I've never understood the hate Houston gets. Sure, it's huge and there's tons of traffic. But it's a nice city. Great shopping, world class museums, plenty of great dining, beautiful neighborhoods.

To answer the OP, go get brunch at Tiny Boxwoods, visit the Cy Tombly and Menil Collection, go check out the Waterwall when you're by the Galleria, Bayou Bend Collection and Gardens, Museum of Natural Science, and spend an hour or so driving through River Oaks and just gawk at the mansions that you'll never be able to afford

Live in the Houston area.. you are pretty much correct. Fun stuff to do but nothing here is a "must".

Catch a Stros game and take in Minute Maid if you are into sports but that's about it.

Houston has a badass Museum of Natural History that features a world class dinosaur exhibit hall. If you are into that sort of thing this is a must. If you have young kids then an absolute must.

If you want to hang out with fellow LSU fans there are a bunch of Popeyes in shady parts of town.

Oh good, I was hoping that the stereotypical yat trash would check in for a laugh. Remember to stay off the neutral ground and check your brake tags when you get down from the car to make groceries.
