LA Citizens tried to push my coverage to Maison a few years back and I declined because they were a no-name with no creditworthiness. Citizens has been fine and paid for most of my new roof after Ida. I've had their coverage for about ten years now and this was my first claim. I recently got a quote from USAA (Orleans Parish) and it was much higher than my current policies with Citizens + American National for homeowners
Edit: USAA offers both homeowners and wind/hail. American National doesn't offer wind/hail here
