adding a less mobile QB wasn’t the answer The real question is how did Mett not start in 2011.
I agree on the basis that Lee started the game at bama and couldn’t handle it. It would have been no different in the title game, so why not give the young guy a shot at it.. Though, Mett was the true definition of a statue back there.

No, he just had more natural talent. Mett was probably our best chance to be competitive in that game. It wouldn't have mattered, though.
