OP is upset that the PA announcer didn’t tell people what to do such that it matched OP’s personal preference. OP is free to shout at people to stand up, if he would like.

OP is always angry about something. He has a old man hard on for LSU because they allow the superfan champ to steal all the tv behind home plate which runs his experience.

OP is upset that we as a culture have lost collective pride in our country, etc. such that announcers at games are too fearful to even ask, not demand as you incorrectly described, that people stand--which, as you correctly point out, they do not have to do.

OP may be right or wrong in that disappointment. But that is what they are upset about.
