Theres a fundamental misunderstanding between the 1st amendment and no censorship.

Exactly. We need a public square or sidewalk where thoughts and ideas can generally be expressed without censorship.
You are advocating for free speech on a platform that our Congressman gave free reign to act in any way they want via Section 230 of the Communications Decency Act.

I know it’s not perfect but as long as individuals control a platform, it will never be free. It must be governed by a constitution that holds freedom as the highest value. We will always have abuse but today there is little protection from abuse on the platforms we interact with digitally today.
Our Govt would need to be led by those who believe in the constitution themselves before this could ever take place. We do not have such individuals in DC in these present days.

Except in the case of Twitter/social media, which has become the de facto public square. That’s the huge flaw in the “well it’s a private company” argument that both sides of the political aisle use only when it suits their goals. It’s intellectually dishonest and we all know it.

Why would they. It’s already their deep state propaganda arm.

Democrats love Twitter the way it is left leaning and closed to any other opinion

Only because we make it so. The answer has always been for conservatives to abandon twitter, ignore it, and ostracize it...but conservatives unfortunately cant even be bothered to do that. Instead we want a our evil govt that we are actively fighting at every step to regulate it for us instead of the free market.

Since nutPsaki admitted the administration gives advice to social media, they are currently violating the 1st.

We need the government out of industries, not sticking its nose in more industries.

Currently is a profitable business. Let the feds run it and it will be another money pit like Amtrack.

Drunk at 8:31 am is either really late or really early for an Easter Sunday. Give us some examples of state-owned media working well for citizens. One.

It literally already takes government money. Twatter spies on it's users and sends the data to the Feds. The Feds then pay for the data. Feds also pay Facebook for the same thing. What did you really think large public forums that have CP on them would last in America unmolested? The Feds are bankrolling these social media companies.
