Let me give you some advice. Never bring a carry on. It’s too much of a hassle. Just check your bag in, and it will be waiting on you at your destination.

frick that.

1. I don’t want to stand in a long line at the airline service desk to check luggage.

2. Your luggage probably will be waiting for you if you check it. But if you carry it on it will be with you… always.

Worst travel advice ever.

The bag doesn’t wait for you. You wait for your bag.

Awful advice. I’ll have my bags down in my hotel room, and I’ll be off to dinner before you see your bag on the conveyer

Most of the time. I carry a small carry on bag with a change of clothes for the small chance my suitcase doesn’t make it. Also gives me place to throw a charger is whatever I don’t want to put in my pocket.

Ok this clown doesn’t travel much. Just got off my flight today with my two carryons and was out the airport in 3 minutes. Having to go to baggage claim and wait for your luggage….F that!

frickin horrible advice.

Carry-on only, no "personal item." Board early, don't worry about overhead storage.

frick dealing with checking in a bag, frick waiting at baggage claim, frick paying for it, and frick potentially losing your bag.

Its easy to do a 1 week business trip out of one reasonably sized carry on.

This is terrible advice. When you get stuck due to a missed connection or a cancelled flight you are stuck overnight with no luggage. You'll be flying the next day in the same clothes as the day before.

And what happens if my luggage gets lost or doesn’t arrive until hours after I do? This has happened to me before. No….I want an carry on so I will have my prescriptions, some toiletries, and a change of clothes.

A lot of people have never done this or have had a bad incident with this.
I have always checked my luggage and only brought a small bag that can fit under the seat with essentials. I have never spent more than about 5-10 minutes checking in or retrieving a bag upon landing. Been to many of the major airports in this country too. I will keep doing what had always worked for me.
