Build it south of Plaquemine. Construct an interchange somewhere around Grosse Tete with an expressway that diverts New Orleans and plant traffic to I-10 via a new bridge and expanded LA30.

Could also include an additional northbound expressway at Grosse Tete that directs airport, Southern, Zachary, St Francisville, etc. traffic to the Huey P Long bridge.

I like your plan. But we need to add a wider, better Airline highway to it. Not necessarily a freeway, but it has to move faster and more efficiently.

Other than that, they should just pay you to pick the alignment of all these highways instead of these consultants.

I don't think you would get the permits needed to build in the wetlands like that. Plus the cost would be outrageous. If you could get the permits, would that whole stretch from Grosse Tete to Bayou Goula have to be elevated?

If only we could couple this with a crossing near the plaquemine ferry…

But who do I think I am asking for 2 bridges when I know this state likely can’t/won’t even build 1
