Termite warranty

Do different companies offer different warranties under termite contracts? Fox pest control said the warranty of a sentricon system covers the application of a liquid to kill the infestation if there ever is one while the sentricon system is in place and that’s it. Do any termite contract warranties cover damage from termites if they get past the sentricon system?

It’s a big scam and assure you they will not cover if at all possible…. If your home is pier and beam then you need to tell them you want it treated and under contract for powder post beetles as well because they won’t tell you or treat for that unless you tell them to and when your house falls down from termites they will say it’s powder post beetles…. Borate under entire house. Use a local company because the big national companies and/or franchises are so scared of liability their contract pretty much gets them out of any liability whatsoever

Terminix & Massey both offer structural damage warranty. Both with mixed reviews on the Internet. Terminix is individually owned & operated I think, so results will probably vary from region to region.
I have a friend whose home was infested & under contract w/Terminix and he was very pleased with the repair work they did. However, depending on your local Terminix agent, they may require at least a 12-18 month period before the structural warranty kicks in and you will have to pay for the expensive contract up front.
If you have a crack in your slab (and many homes do), then IMO, I'm not convinced that anything - whether DIY or professionals, can 100% keep termites from possibly infecting. So going with the big boys is basically just buying an insurance policy. Just be aware of the loopholes.
Using local companies may be cheaper, but I don't think they have the resources to warranty structural damage. Their warranty usually just covers, re-treatment.

2TigerGo is absolutely correct.
The biggest difference among termite companies as reflected in the cost is the quality of the insurance. The actual treatments are not expensive. The insurance can be. Read the policies very carefully.
Note that if you alter landscaping you might void your current policy. Retreating after major landscaping around house is a good idea.

Great - thank you both for the info. This is what I suspected when I received a lost cost option.
