re: Just Got Back From Gainesville

I just got back as well. I was shocked at the difference between the gameday atmosphere and the in-game atmosphere. The stadium is as loud as there is, but the tailgating just seemed very, very mild. I loved the fact that the fans (minus the upper endzone) stayed the entire game. TS would have been empty midway through the 4th. The cops were completely insane. They held 5 of us hostage because the girl behind us was drunk and they said we couldn't go in until we found her a place to stay. My friend missed the game b/c of that. They kicked about 6 kids out before the game for standing on the bleachers. It was a joke. They have a great team with a great stadium, but it's tough to enjoy yourself in constant fear of an open container or getting kicked out for making a hand gesture (saw that happen too). Wish we could have been competitive at least. Hopefully Columbia will be a bit better.
