It's extremely rare for a coach to be fired / forced out, an the next year, a new coach comes and wins right away. I don't know what you guys were expecting. Our baseball program is not in good shape. Brian Kelly is not going to win the SEC this fall. And our basketball program... well... we gonna have issues for a minute. If coaching was simply showing up, they would all be successful. We are facing a pitcher that is an easy first round pick. We aren't going to hit 14 runs off of him. Meanwhile... I don't think we have a single legit SEC starting pitcher. I think the players and coaches are trying. I think this is what the bottom looks like.
