The reality is that for the athletes who play 3 and go pro in the 1st round are going to do it.

When the average NFL career is probably 5 years and you get paid for playing. Why wouldn’t you try to squeeze that extra year out of your NFL career.

And Bama lost ten players to the portal including the freshman 5star RB and their starting TE. So Bama is not immune to this crap either not to mention they brought in a Cancer named Eli Ricks.

No program is immune, but Saban doesn’t let guys like that hang around. They are either processed or bail on their own when they realize they will have to work and accept living up to his standards to see the field.

Everything Kelly has said and done up to now tells me that he’s working to establish a similar accountability-based, process-oriented culture here. It will just take a little time.

Listened to whole interview last night. Pretty pathetic showing. Love the guy on the field, but horrible leadership. Not the guy you want as the face of any program, much less ours which is dier need of a giant culture rebuild. SAD.

I am starting to agree that the jordy culotta show loves this bullshite and gossip.

Do you think Jordy is some kind of mind reader?? It appears that you're trying create the drama /gossip.

Boutte said this on show this morning:
"For my three and out people, I feel like this is a big year for us. Come in, do what you gotta do and get out. You don't want to be here longer than you need to"

A high profile player at LSU with an apparent shite attitude makes an adverse comment. Jordy can not control that. BUT, Brian Kelly can and likely will.

The fact is that colleges have long exploited athletes who work for next to nothing yet bring in millions in revenue.

Smith too but looks like he is gone.

If Smith couldn’t get his grades with all the help from LSU Tutors, etc then good luck getting his academic house in order on his own.

It is 100% about the money. NCAA = NFL. No Difference!

Listen to him talk and it is all about me,me,me. He is sitting there with his hoodie up and says he is “getting my money right now but nothing like it’s gonna be”. He says sheeit a couple of times and then talks about his “3 and out” situation.

All this after 2 surgeries and he is missing meetings and won’t practice during Spring Practice. This guy is an embarrassment to LSU and probably already has 1 foot out the door and Brian Kelly should push the other one out as well. Sick of this kind of player and there were far too many on LSU’s team.

Except you can’t not perform in the NFL and just opt out and hit the portal on a whim and go to another team.

I don’t exactly blame Boutte for being a little disallusioned after 3 OCs and 2 HCs in 3 years.

You’re gonna have to get this kind of kid on board to win. Because on the field it doesn’t matter why he’s dominating.

Sorry bro but just no. You don’t have to get these kind of kids to win. I hate hearing this. Love his play, hate his attitude. He needs to be shown the door. This is Ogre teaching and mentality. That meathead’s stench is all over this program. Coach BK has a ginormous job ahead of him.

Agree with this but I do think that Brian Kelly is going turn things around rapidly. He has done a great job with the roster so far and he will recruit well.

I think some of y'all are reading a little too much into it.

Yea the comment doesn't inspire confidence in his commitment to the team but it's also early in Kelly's tenure. It takes time to change a guys mindset after a coaching change.

Also something to consider, this isn't the same college football you're used to. The days where kids grew up dreaming of playing for only one school for 4 years are gone. I think kids have a mercenary attitude now more than ever. Of course, some kids will be compelled to play for their life long school crush but more are just following the money.

I didn't see/hear anything that was outrageous. He has shown on the field he is the man.
He just appeared laid back and calm.
How would anyone feel after being asked the same questions repeatedly for six months.
