Nancy Pelosi as acting president for 90 days or so that it would have taken to audit all 50 states and have legitimate results would have been better than the 14 months of nonsense we've endured to this point.

It's not so much his willingness as much as it's his compulsion to just say whatever pops into his head. When you say that much shite, some of it is bound to be right just by chance.
"I like take the guns first, due process later." is an excellent example of Trump just saying stupid shite off the top of his head.
You can give him credit for it, but I just think it makes him unreliable and dangerous.

No doubt! After all, look at how many new wars he got started with such reckless rhetoric. The shooting War with North Korea? Not to mention the anthills he kicked over in the Middle East. Add in making things between India and Pakistan so much worse?
Don't even get me started on WWIII with Russia....

I had to look up to see who Mo Brooks was.

There's a reason neocon poseurs are repulsed by alpha male, big dicked, dragon energy. They don't recognize it, and it frightens them.

Maggie Haberman is tweeting that Mo Brooks said that Trump asked him to rescind the election and place Trump.
No doubt they are twisting it. But Trump loved Maggie Haberman when he was a civilian.

The current election act is not clear on these type of actions and can be interpreted in different ways as to the Vice President's role and options, but it allows the Speaker of the House to act as President temporarily, until Congress certifies, if the inauguration doesn't occur by Jan 20th, so there has to be actions that can occur concerning certification that can postpone the constitutionally scheduled inauguration.
The Constitution is designed to limit Government, not give it implicit instructions, so interpretation of any actions taken would have to go before the Supreme Court. There was time to do an audit and have the Supreme Court rule on its constitutionality. To do nothing was simply political cowardice.
Republican lawmakers made objections, based on allegations of widespread voter fraud, to states’ election results. The chambers were separately debating an objection to Arizona’s results when proceedings were conveniently halted and the Capitol was locked down. When the Senate reconvened at 8 p.m., and the House of Representatives an hour later, the proceedings — including the objection debates — continued, however many lawmakers who had previously planned to vote with the objectors stood down and plans to challenge a number of other states after Arizona were scrapped, despite the violence and chaos that had occurred an objection, to Pennsylvania’s results, still advanced to a vote. Eight senators and 139 representatives voted to sustain one or both objections.
The objections were not from just a few radicals and were based on whatever evidence these lawmakers had at the time and should have been debated and voted on as the constitution requires. Unfortunately, the Jan 6th (possible false flag operation) protest, resulted in discouraging any further serious consideration of objections, when violence occurred, and the situation became impossible to read as to the truth of reports and rumors, thus allowing the politicians to take the easy way out.

Trump won BIGLY!!!!
Actually Trump lost. What administration is running the country is what counts and Biden is in. Trump is sitting in Florida with his thumb up his arse.
This is like claiming the Saints won the NFC Championship game against the Rams a few years ago.
You don't win by losing.

I think it's hilarious when Republicans take the high road when it's obvious that the Dems trash the Constitution 365 1/4 days a year and 365 on a Leap.

Trump rescinding his endorsement of Mo Brooks can't be the sole reason his campaign is sinking. maybe the people of Alabama feel like he isn't getting anything done.
I don't think Trump has that much sway over people, folks are just getting tired of whats happening these days and want change.

Katie Britt has occupied 50-60% of the state's billboards and tv ads for most of a year. The backers of Britt and Durant have been combining to attack Brooks in that same time. Only recently has Brooks and anyone backing him begun running ads. Brooks has a resume to run on as a conservative, the endorsement of Trump and one in-state Trump rally last year to go on with a MUCH smaller campaign warchest to work with.
Trump could have made more appearances with him if his endorsement meant that much to his ego. Instead, he's acting exactly like he always has. A spoiled child.
Trump caught fire because he was an outsider who didn't profit off DC. He was able to exploit issues others wouldn't dare because he personally wasn't getting rich off them. But there is nothing in that man's character that remotely speaks of leadership. If there were, he wouldn't be backing a puppet of his enemies. But his ego is bigger than logic.
All Trump is doing is making more enemies. Durant and Britt will never be allies of his.
