No veteran that is Alice today has fought for my freedom.

The last soldier that fought for true freedom were union soldiers.

Everyone else just doing bidding of idiot politicians.

Because if it wasn’t for them none of us would be playing around on TD. So yea they absolutely deserve recognition

I was taught to respect our soldiers and veterans. Made a pie for an elderly Vietnam veterans and thanked him for serving our country. He had tears in his eyes as he shook my hand.

I kind of feel that being appreciated for joining and being a member of the military is kind of one of the “perks.” If this goes away, they are kind of being ripped off in a way.

One reason is because they are willing to stand in the gap when necessary to defend our country and freedoms.

So this is where the narrative goes astray. I have no problem with service men and women and recognize that it isn’t an easy job. That being said, the US hasn’t been in a war where our “country and freedoms” were at stake since 1945. Unfortunately, I think the whole “protecting American freedoms” narrative that gets tossed around only fuels the massive unnecessary wars that we engage in.

Many of the people who enlisted after 9/11 were genuinely patriotic individuals who wanted to make the world safer after our country was attacked by foreign terrorists (or so they told us).

1) No one said you had to
2) It's respectful to acknowledge what they did to serve this country (which is way way way more that can be said than what you've done)

Enjoy an extremely well deserved downvote.

No clue as to why I'm downvoted.

Would you serve in the Military?

I did once.

I rate it a 6 out of 10. Wouldn't recommend right now. Not just because of the potential of war but you'd be serving with some tard posting shite on Instagram. Ah OPSEC, you were so simple to follow but internet clout is more important than, I dunno, not giving the enemy your exact location.
