Cricket seems like a really awesome sport. I spent several years as a rep for a fuel distribution company and would often watch for a few minutes with the Indian store owners who were very passionate about it.

Do they still stop for afternoon tea in the middle of a match?

A few years back India started a league called 30-30. 3o overs of 7 bowls each, or 210 pitches, no more 5 day matches with tea. It turned the game into a hitters game and added tremendous excitement and totally changed the makeup of the game.

An example, we had a kid down here in Trinidad, Pollard, beast of a man, but no patience at the wicket (plate). Making about 100 grand. 30-30 starts up and he moved to India in season and talk about the right time for him.

My brother is a huge baseball fan and thought cricket boring and I had him watch a Pollard game. First bowl (pitch) that hombre cranked it to right, past the boundary (like a home run) it bounced off the roof of the stadium and broke a windshield in the parking lot. Next bowl a homerun to left. Next pitch, a rope to center that literally knocked a hole in the center field wall. Kid is making millions, and in a country where the average guy is about 5 foot nothing and 120 lbs, lets just say he is living large.
