I think 8 is more realistic Mac.

Go down the list & there are several teams with worst NET that will firmly be seeded higher than LSU.

Arkansas being one. Alabama probably as well if they beat LSU in this last game

I got some ideas on how to win close games. Don't have non shooters jack up 3's at the end of games when it is close. Don't commit ridiculous fouls. Drive to the basket, direct drives to the basket at the end of games end up in buckets or free throws. The top teams in the country drive to the basket when closing out close games, and it works.

This team has been inconsistent. But it’s true they have had no breaks or controversial calls go their way all year long.

Percentages would say that should start evening up.

Also, Arkansas deserves to have something go against it at the end of a close game.

StAug don’t know dick and I do because I’ve seen every game he claimed to have seen and I really have plus I season more. I believe that was Pete’s last year in the Parker Colesium. Whichever just ask him and add 1 more season and that’s my viewing total but watch ole StAug - he’ll lie his arse off.

IMO, the only way we get seeded as high as a #6 is if we beat Bama and win 3 games in the SEC Ty.

My gut feeling is we will beat bama narrowly and win only 1 SEC Ty game. In that case, we will be a #7 if the Committe likes us or a #8 if our 11 losses weigh heavily on their minds.

6 seed is optimistic- whatever you think LSU deserves, knock them down a couple notches.

I rather be a 10 or 11 than 8 or 9 seed , 6 seed would be perfect if we can get it

Such a fkn lie. I never said that. We may have different views on Wade, but at least attempt to tell it straight. I was very impressed with the team effort last night, it was encouraging to see, and hasn't always been there for a complete game. I have said 8-10 for several weeks now. Need to win that game against Bama very badly to avoid the #8 seed, imo. By all means though, if it makes you feel better to make something up, then go for it.

Name one thing I've lied about. Jesus Christ you guys are some pussies. I'm definitely not the only one on this board that doesn't care for Wade. Speaks for your character to lie though.

We beat Bama and we aren't falling out of the 6/7 range. Lose, and will most likely have to win 2 in the tourney to avoid 8/9. I just don't see the committee having 6 teams as 6/7 and higher from the SEC. There are a few other teams now playing for their NCAA life as well, so tourney could be even tougher.

Just to put late year struggles in perspective, I remember the last game of the 1986-1987 season. It was a home loss to Auburn by 30+ points. Really awful. Somehow, the team got it together and made the Elite 8, only to be eliminated by Indiana in the Bob Knight desk-pounding game with a blatant no-call at the end that tipped the game. That team almost made the Final Four, which was held in New Orleans that year.

Just last year, it seemed like UCLA came out of no where to almost win it all. We've had bad officiating but the team needs better situational awareness. That comes with experience.

I think the odds are finally in our favor Saturday. Ala has had a streak on us, they seem to not playing as well and we seem to be on on uptick, hell UK and Aub couldn't get it done either at Ark. Saturday is looking good, just need to take care of the ball and make sure we get shots up and no wasted trips.
Bottomline, we've been banged up all year. This team is dangerous. It's March, and we're in the damn thing. All you can ask for.

StAug has more credibility here. LSU was more impressive last year, with a better resume, getting to the SEC finals, and were rewarded with an 8! This year, we MUST beat Bama and then make a serious run in the SEC to even consider something higher than an 8.
