Im sure a bear season would be limited to only certain small areas of La and Im even more sure that Vermilion Parish wont be included. Parts of the Parish are overrun with the 300lb raccoons and need to be thinned.

About 10 years or so I was talking to a guy at LDWF about it and I think the idea at the time was lottery hunts for youths and veterans on baited sites to kill a certain number of bears each year.
