Good to know you think the NYTimes is a legitimate source.

Odessa will fall to the Russians by June 30. Cutting off Ukraines access to sea shipping. The advances in the north are designed to pull defenses from Odessa

Refined products combined are their biggest export, but Crude is still the single largest category.
Cash flow and profit are two different things. When prices were below $50 per barrel, there is no profit in Russian crude oil sales. There is profit from OPEC and US sales but not Russian.
Profit margins matter A LOT

Who is going to support this amphibious assault on Odessa, the Russian Black Sea fleet at the bottom of the sea or the remainder that won't leave its eastern ports anymore?

The advances in the north are at least partially because local oligarchs laundered western $ through fake contractors and took the loot. Just like many of us in here were saying they were doing

How will Russia capture Odessa? Will they launch an amphibious assault or will they retake Kherson and move east from there?

Nero fiddled while Rome burned. Blinken sang Young while the northern lines fell.

Idk man, look at this impressive line of dragon's teeth near Kharkiv
Last year the pro-Ukraine bro's couldn't stop laughing at Russia's fortifications.

Prepare for downvotes and to be called a shill for posting actual aerial images

You're looking at this short term. Their military likely won't be strengthened during this war, but in the years after its entirely possible if not the most likely outcome that the equipment they are pulling out of storage will be replaced with newly manufactured equipment. Its unlikely that a nation as large and with as many people and natural resources as Russia just withers away into a shell of itself and not rebuild its military, regardless of the result of the Ukraine War.
You're not looking at the long-term demographic profile for Russia... in 20 years it will be in population collapse. That's another reason why Putin tried to turn 20 million Ukrainians into "Russians," especially the children... and also why he had to go ahead and invade when he did... the reasons they want to reclaim the Russian/Soviet Empire are as much about preventing demographic and its corresponding economic collapse as they are about power.

Heres some more money laundering from earlier this year

and that's Ukraine pointing that one out, isn't it? Not hiding it... that would point that they're trying to solve those problems.
Corruption is a problem in much of Eastern Europe, as a legacy of its Soviet/Eastern Bloc days...
Still, Russia is the undisputed champ!!!
your second link... so, when did you become fluent in Russian?

20 years huh? That must be some crystal ball you have.

Had there not been corruption in the USSR, it would have collapsed much sooner.

I've been waiting for Putin to use Transnistria for something... I'd imagine it's been kept to launch towards Odessa from the West... someone HAS to be watching for that, right? I'd suspect Moldova and Romania do not sleep on that place a second...
