Juat read what he wrote. He's spewing Kremlin talking points verbatim.

I took that as his assessment on who has the upper hand in negotiations/where the war is headed, not like a worldview stating Ukraine is Russia's to control. But maybe its the latter.

We can talk about rules, but we haven’t cared about those in a long time, and we’re also not in a position to enforce them, so it just makes us look weak when we talk about them. We also can’t inflict sufficient pain on Russia to make the war fruitless for them.

This is another blatantly obvious attempt at misinformation warfare. Anyone who’s been paying attention knows that this is the central point of their strategy to undermine American support. By posing as Americans to sow doubt…

He isn’t talking about negotiations. That’s a fairy tale. Russia and Ukraine have been negotiating for 30 years. Agreements have been made and agreements have been broken.

Russia does what they want to do as long as they can.

Ok, then that could still be his assessment of the state of the conflict even if he isn't talking about negotiations.

I very much think negotiations are in play and likely how this ends.

The thought that this war is either going to end with Ukraine keeping all of its land or none of it is a bleak outlook.

Zelenskyy and Biden agree on ATACMS delivery to Ukraine.

"Today's outcome—agreements on ATACMS for Ukraine are in place. Thank you, Mr. President! Thank you, Congress! Thank you, America!" said President Zelenskyy in his evening address.

I never thought Ukraine would survive.
I thought Russia would roll like we rolled over Iraq twice.

I just thought it was our obligation to help Ukraine as we promised.

I never believed Putin would compromise. There is no reason for him to do that. He isn’t losing anything. He has power and money.

A huge reason is that the Biden Admin has never defined a clear path to victory. I suspect the useful idiots would be the only ones voting no if the path would have been established.

Is there one? Is there a way for Ukraine to win (take ALL of their land back) without NATO troops?

We have to admit that it might not be possible to take everything back. All we can do is aggressively contain Russia as best we csn economically and by aiding Ukraine’s defense with ammo and equipment.

Make every KM of Ukraine expensive to the Russians. That will show our resolve to all our enemies, not just the Russians.

Raytheon was at 97.12 the day Russia launched its special operation against Ukraine.
Since the invasion it peaked at 104.27 in April of 2022. Now it’s at 102.07.

It’s low since the war started was just over six months ago, 69.77.

I don’t know why it dropped so much, but it did. Now it’s about back to where it was trading when the war began.

The irony is that the increasing isolationism of some parts of the GOP threatened the long-term future of some defense stocks. What's even worse are the budget showdowns that prevent some of the long-term procurement deals from happening.

They got a handful of them in October and they hit a couple of helicopter bases in Eastern Ukraine that were beyond conventional HIMARS range. But the money was already running out so they couldn't get more.

Then back a few weeks ago they "found" something like $300 million and used it to send -- among other things -- at least another handful of ATACMS.

They used these last week to hit the Dzhankoi air base in Crimea which apparently was a significant strike.

With the new aid bill, there will be a wave of ATACMS headed over there. I think we have something like over 1000 that were scheduled to be decommissioned as this new Prism missile that started coming online last year hits its stride,

Cheaper to dispose of them over a Russian air base than in the incinerators at Redstone Arsenal.

ETA: The way the Pentagon bean counters work, if these ATACMS cost $1 million each when they were built in the 1990s, then we have to charge off $1 million when we send one to Ukraine. Even though they were to be phased out. Even though it might cost us $50,000 to dispose of one. We are saving money on the deal, and helping Ukraine. But to the Poli Board it's like we are wiring money to Zelensky's offshore account, "with 10% to the big guy!"

Borders are an expression of geography, culture (identity), and ultimately power.

That was certainly the view of the late occupier, Kirill Stremousov, who said, "Russia is anywhere I drive my tank."

In contrast, the civilized world has abandoned the primitive view that international borders can very simply be changed through conquest.

Putin hasn’t been serious about peace negotiations yet, none of the past talk has been good faith peace discussion.

That’s probably because he has been expecting support for Ukraine to wane and he wouldn’t have to negotiate at all.

Yes. The House bill specified that we would send them.

No, that's not going to happen. But reach out and touch all of Crimea? Yes.

What the frick have the Russians done to the United States?

The greatest enemies we have right now are the Chinese manipulating our economy and the southern border wide open for illegals to come get free debit cards, assault and kill cops and rape American women.

Funding Ukraine while our country falls apart with debt and inflation is a motherfricking joke. Creepy arse politicians with weird sex lives who get off on war. Being in government their entire lives and have never done shite for the average American.
