Over the last 48 hours there has been an uptick of fighting in two sectors in southern Ukraine.
Eh, the last 24 hours has seen some stormy weather and much-reduced fighting. I think that the Brits are a day behind in this report.

@wartranslated with a report that indicates that the Ukrainian strategy of attrition of enemy artillery might be working:

Russian blogger Ross Marsov says Russians have lost around 20 artillery guns, which equals to one artillery battalion, just in "Vremevsky ledge" (Staromlynivka axis) in the past two months.

Here's a current map of this sector. I marked the village of Urozhaine. As you can see, it's stretched out along the road, and the Ukrainian positions in Staromaiorske make it impossible for Russia to hold for long -- Russia might have already left the village.
You can also see Pryyutne to the west and Novodonetske. I believe that Ukraine will try to take these next, and then push the whole front south, before they begin to push to attack Staromlynivka.
Staromlynivka is important, because there's an east-west road there, which provides a lot of mobility. From Staromlynivka, Ukraine would have the option to choose between attacking along roads that lead to Mariupol, and to Berdyansk.

I imagine that smaller, expendable wheeled drones are not far behind. It seems that something the size of a golf cart or four wheeler would be sufficient to aid in mine clearance, but I don’t see why bigger wouldn’t work as well.
At this level of conflict even a vehicle costing hundreds of thousands of dollars is basically expendable.

Congrats though?
Weird as frick to see Americans cheer for the sons of communist and a country filled with true communist believers. And don’t give me the “they’re a Christian nation” Bull shite, if they’re a Christian nation then we’re a flat out theocracy

It wasn’t even tanks it destroyed. Looks like a bunch of MRAPS unknowingly rolled up on that tank. Of course they are going to get lit up

I guess Putin is trying to recruit even more third-worlders to fight his expansionist war for him.
Russia and Africa agree to promote 'multipolar world order', says Putin

CNN got some video of the Ukrainian naval drones in action. We've never seen these drones up close like this before.
I'm surprised they haven't done any small submersible drones of some type. Perhaps a reusable torpedo carrier to take advantage of existing stock. Battery range is high these days and cameras above the water can be tiny. AI to defeat jamming...

Less Christian than NYC. Russian Orthodox church is run by the FSB and has been since KGB took over it in 1945. Plus, disrespecting the Koran gets you thrown in a gulag

Interesting analysis of the under performance of the Leopard 2's.

A small ground drone with a mine strapped to its top. Good way to return the mines to their owner.

It’s really sad and honestly frightening to me how many Americans actively cheer against at anything that our values stand for. To outright support Russia for waging a war is completely disgusting and gutless to me. It’s obvious none of you have ever put on the uniform or served militarily or even just voluntarily for others and not benefiting yourselves. I truly feel sorry for you all wether you think you’re being funny by trolling or actually want Russia to destroy a smaller country. You’d be the ones making excuses for Hitler invading other countries to give Germans Lebensraum.

Please stop with this rah rah propaganda bullshite. Recognizing that that we don’t need to spend our national treasure in a dispute on the other side of the world is not the same as “cheering for Russia”. Y’all are some warmongering ghouls and you spout this pep talk crap trying to spend more tax dollars is pathetic

There were reports earlier today that Ukraine hit the Chonhar road bridge (a bridge that connects Crimea to the rest of Ukraine) again -- it previously hit that bridge back in June.
Those reports were incorrect. It turns out that Ukraine used a Storm Shadow to target the Syvash Railway Bridge. As far as I know, there have been no pics released, and I have seen no damage assessment.
EDIT: the below photo was posted by the Russian occupation governor on his Telegram: LINK
It's hard to see clearly, but the damage to the bridge doesn't seem catastrophic. I wouldn't be sure if the bridge can be used without repairs, though.

When the US government starts showing some actual values, maybe I won't question their motivations. Blindly following the people who have proven time & again that they don't give a damn about you is gutless.

Usual suspects crying about this. You’re absolutely correct. Exact same pussies wanting to Neville chamberlain this shite.

America, UK, and Russia agreed to guarantee Ukraine's sovereignty if they gave up their nuclear weapons. They gave up their nuclear weapons.
