The financial director for Gazprom, the largest publicly-listed natural gas company in the world and the largest company in Russia by revenue, has been found dead by suicide in St. Petersburg

Reports of financial director of Gazprom dying by suicide in Saint Petersburg today has turned out be a bit inaccurate as though there has been a death but the deceased who has died by suicide has been identified as 61-year-old Alexander Tyulakov, Deputy General Director of the Unified Settlement Center (UCC) of Gazprom for corporate security. Gazprom is a Russian majority state owned multinational energy corporation.

Ex: google maps traffic showing Russian convoys, distribution of urban warfare tactics to Ukrainians by experts, distribution of Russian oligarch’s yacht locations, geolocation of munitions and my favorite new term “tactical shitposting”
I've said it a time or two in this thread, what we are witnessing in regards to how social media is being used in this war is nothing short of amazing.

I’d love to think internal pressure could get to him the way you’re describing, I just don’t see it.

Ukrainians are brilliant at tech startups - they created Whatsapp, Grammarly, Paypal, and a bunch of other companies.
They have a lot of ties in the tech community, and it should've been obvious they'd leverage their knowledge and connections to create social media headaches for Russia.

I was happy to see Haas remove the Uralkali branding for the last day of testing but I wish they has slapped on an American flag. I am hoping they just didn't have a way to do it at the track in Barcelona. I will be miffed if they don't have one on the car at the Bahrain test.

The pressure would have to come from the oligarchs in Putin's bunker. If some of them don't share a desire to be international pariahs and lose all of their wealth, things could get dicey.

It makes life much more difficult for him. There's a reason he has worked to keep the particulars of this war away from his people, to the point of completely changing how his military usually operates. He knows this isn't popular, and he knows it is a balancing act trying to keep the war going while simultaneously keeping the unrest tamped down at home.
They've already arrested a few thousand protesters. I don't look for the protests to die down any time soon. How he responds to that ongoing unrest can greatly impact what happens after the eventual end of the war in Ukraine.

Paint that car blue and yellow as a big middle finger to them.
2006 Alonso style would look good

He needed to do this quickly and without civilian casualties. The longer this drags on, the harder it gets for him and this is still before the sanctions take their true toll.
Ukraine don’t have to win the war, they just need to hang around.

Chechnya is such a bitch. They fight Russia for so long but now they lick Putin’s balls. Would serve them right to get wiped out in Ukraine.
The Russians learned a hard lesson in Chechnya. They rolled in with all armored units and no infantry support and got trucked.
