That’s the best part of it all. Everyone is like “oh cool, that ghost fighter pilot is pretty sweet” while Nugget is over in the corner slamming his head into the wall crying about us morons and our propaganda

Oh my mistake. I thought that Russia having the capital city under siege, armored tank columns surrounding the rest of their largest cities and hundreds of thousands of women and children fleeing Ukraine meant that Russia was winning but I didn’t take into account Twitter posts saying Russia was losing.

My mistake

[CNN] South Korea says missile launch by North is "undesirable" while world is trying to resolve the war in Ukraine

quote:

South Korea's National Security Council (NSC) said North Korea's missile launch on Sunday is "undesirable" while the world is trying to resolve Russia's invasion of Ukraine, according to the Blue House.

Following North Korea's firing of a ballistic missile on Sunday morning local time, the NSC held an emergency meeting where they expressed "deep concern and severe regret" over the launch, which is North Korea's eighth missile test in 2022.

The members said North Korea should respond to offers from the international community for a dialogue and urged the North to "immediately stop actions contrary to peaceful resolution through diplomacy."

Some context: Analysts suggest the increased testing this year shows leader Kim Jong Un is both striving to meet domestic goals and show an increasingly turbulent world that Pyongyang remains a player in the struggle for power and influence.

"North Korea is not going to do anyone the favor of staying quiet while the world deals with Russia's aggression against Ukraine," Leif-Eric Easley, associate professor of international studies at Ewha University in Seoul, said following Sunday's test.

His problem is he thinks the majority of people in the thread actually believe every little pro-Ukraine detail that comes out. We may want it to be true but we aren't that naive, it is like recruiting rumors me might cheer at the rumor that LSU (or whatever team) is in line to get the next generational QB or RB but we believe it when they are actually on the field wearing the proper colored uniform.

He on the other hand believes at a molecular level all the shite he is spewing.

Any American that doesn't have a healthy dislike for Russia is either young, stupid, or has a hard-on for autocrat cum dictators.

Exactly. Thank you.

I’d love to be wrong but in my estimation Putin will have this thing buttoned up in a few weeks and everyone will be angry and support the insurgency for a a few months before we get bored and abandon them like every other time we’ve supported an insurgency against a strongman in recent history.

There is a very real possibility that Russia had advanced too quickly because their whole strategy was pure aggression and it's gained them ground but let their supply lines being exposed.

If Russia was winning as planned, I don't see how they wouldn't have total air control at this point

Because the Russian Air Force isn’t the USAF and Ukraine isn’t Iraq. That doesn’t mean that at this point Russia isn’t winning. By every military metric they’re wiping the floor with Ukraine.

I’d love to be wrong and I hope Ukraine pulls the underdog win of the century. But unfortunately I don’t think I am.

“winning” for the belligerents is different… that means the metrics for measuring success are different.

Current Ukraine government just needs to exist… that’s their metric. The longer they can stay in country and project control, the worse this gets for Russia.
