All the backcounting and increase for Covid or whatever reason of the day needs to stop. They actually need to cap it at 20 with no backcounting.

If getting enough NIL money they can put them on roster as walk ons

Agreed. 22 is probably the number though. There is no reason not to sign 25 under the current system. Fill them however, you need to. Setting the number at 22 would address some of the NIL concerns between the A&Ms of the world and everyone else. At least that way, once your done offering w/ NIL, you're done. No gray-shirts or anything like that allowed anymore. I would like to eliminate NIL being used just to hurt other programs by restricting the number you can sign every year.

So if A&M wants to spend millions on 22 kids, fine. The truth is A&M should have been done in December according to the 25/year rule under normal circumstances where they would have to let some kids go.
