ESPECIALLY in the southern part of the state. We have a level of pride that most places don't have. It's why 15+ years after Katrina, ppl still expect kids who've lived in other states 95% of their lives to come to LSU. It's why kids commit to other schools and still throw up the L when they make a big play or after a big win. It's why the griddy is everywhere. Most guys from LA who were afterthoughts in their own circles are APLHAS the second they step into a different environment. Guys from other states follow Louisiana guys without question. Just go back to LSU vs UM when the fight happened. That was basically the best of La vs the best of Fla. and we won the fight and the football game.
