Crazy that people really think saban would waste a spot.
He is one of the top tight ends left. Same thing that is happening with all the top players left. Teams are trying to fill spots.

It's the most cringe thing in the world when people say Saban is doing something to spite LSU or keep us down. We'd mock the hell out of that if another teams fans said it.

He wasn’t on many teams’ radars. He was a late bloomer.
Saban doesn’t give a shite about LSU. He fricking owns us. His goal to get the best players in the country, it doesn’t matter what state they’re in.

Yeah and LSU has offered a few kids lately that weren't on our radar. LSU only offered Lewis two weeks ago. Alabama had a TE bail. That's how recruiting works.

He is in LSU's backyard and he wasn't on our radar. How many times was his name mentioned on this site before the OC from Cincinnati got here

Right...we hired the OC he had committed to at Cincinnati who then recruited him to LSU. So he was already on Denbrocks radar.

So we offer him late ... and Alabama, whose season ended about a week after ours offered him a week later than us. I mean ... it's not unreasonable to think that both our staff and theirs were doing homework on the kid and offered at roughly the same time in the recruiting process. They also became aware of some of their own transfers out and roster needs a little later than we did.

Lewis is super underrated. They are definitely interested in him for his talent but this probably plays into it too. Doesn't help LSU is pretty barren at TE right now and I'm not sure the portal is helping much there. Strategic move by Satan.
