re: I don't think it's a big deal if we don't get Citizen. Check out this kid's film.

Hard to tell much about his strength, given the competition. There were some very… overmatched DBs in that video

Didn’t look like elite breakaway speed, but that’s not a huge concern for an RB. Really good burst out of his cuts and great balance. I could see him as a pinball back similar to what Kiner was this year.

He played 6A in 2019-20 and had much more modest stats than this year

Honestly, he doesn’t have elite burst.

Yeah he's playing against nobodies realistically.

I think I might be more interested in his O-Line.

This is little bitty private school competition, so there's that. He's not doing this against DeSoto or Dallas Carter or Southlake Carroll.

It is not the same but they have some pretty good players in that league and people said the same thing about Steven Ridley. He did ok as a Tiger. This guy has pretty good vision regardless of the competition.

LBJ Austin is a top 25 school in Texas and he shredded them for 125 yards and 2 touchdowns and nearly won.

This kid looks like a solid fall back after burning the tape. Like the acceleration, though never really challenged at or near the LOS. Good 2nd level runner, like the physicalness. Comp: Cadillac Williams

He’s not Citizen though

Hell we have a RB instate who I’d look at before this guy and he plays some of the best teams in Louisiana. AJ Allen. Could offer both of them and see.

Allen might be a little lighter than this guy but imo he could easily put on about 15 or 20 lbs and be a real beast in the run game and passing game. He looks a little like some of those longer more athletic running backs who can make you miss but is also very strong. You can see him breaking tackles even at 185 lbs. Get him around 205 or 210 and he’d be a real problem.

Like someone said, this guy from Texas looks a lot like Kiner. We don’t have a style like AJ Allen. I trust our coaches though. I hope they give Allen a good look. Bring them both in for a visit and get a good close look at them. That’s just me.

The guy is getting serious interest from Michigan, LSU, Oregon, Clemson, and Notre Dame but the recruiting board isn't quite sold on him.

It’s just not big boy Texas high school football that he’s playing that’s all I’m trying to say.

His patient way of running is legit.

Yeah his speed an cuts was nice but some of those front 7s were atrocious.I was expecting some Noel Devine type of highlight tape and I got a tape of a couple jump cuts and running through wide open holes mostly

Stevan Ridley is your small school comp. Similar size, but this kid appears to have more speed.

The Athletic had an article on him yesterday. It said he ran for nearly 400 yards against Fort Worth (Texas) Nolan, a team that had two Power 5 defensive line prospects.
Not saying it was an elite defense. It also said he started to play with more confidence when he got a Power 5 offer.
