Recent game information and stats.

Virginia constantly went for it on fourth down and always converted. I had the ball at most 6 possessions four touchdowns and two interceptions. One was my fault the other just miscommunication thought the receiver was going post when he went fly.

my third string running back whose my starter Jermaine Doster 22 carries for 76 yards and 2 tds
Mckenzie Adams 18 - 26 for 223 yards 1 td 2 ints

1st string defense allowed zero points (played 1st quarter and fourth quarter)
2nd string defense allowed six points (played 2nd and 3rd)

and does anyone else do this with their defense?

Never thought about doing that. I'll have to try it, although my "D" is stout.

Yea. the computer sucks with BYEs. I have one this week and then two consecutive weeks later in the sched. We'll fix it next season.

considering you are playing as USC i'm sure it'll work better, my first string is probably as good as your second.

i may start doing it with my offense as well.

However, i probably won't do it as much against the better teams on my schedule.

i have no quarterback. I yanked Clausen in the first half and let Crist get some snaps. Not a good game for my offense. It was raining but I still could not get anything going. I am trying to work a few new plays in this year. I found myself getting in a pattern every game last year. When that pattern didn't work i would just make stupid plays.

Nobody has stepped up at WR and I thought I would be much better this year at that spot.

Good new is my D is way ahead of what I thought they would be. No 3rd down conversions given, 136 total yds and only 5 first downs for Stanford.

Looks like it will all come down to one game for me again. As of now, no way this team beats USC. They are much improved(89 up from a 81 last year), but I still don't have the studs in the right spots.

Yea, but as the season progressed last year you got hot and went on a roll. I see more of the same this year. I'm looking forward to another great game.

okay i had to edit my post so i basically just started it over.

i played the # 1 ranked offense in the nation Virginia. Who averaged 32 pts a game. I shut them down with first and second string D held them to 6 points.

They had 150 passing yards and 73 rushing yards. grand total of 223 yards, 0 tds, 1 INT.

After 1 game Vanderbilt is the #9 ranked defense in the nation and #42 Offense.

I lost a heartbreaker to Michigan at the Big House, 34-31. I played my 2nd string QB, Darron Thomas, because he is an 84 speed. He put up OK numbers, going 19 of 24 for 260 yards and 2 td's. Threw 2 picks, though.

He got hurt at the end of the 3rd and I played my first stringer, Kempt. He went 5-5 for 19 yards and a touchdown and led the drive to put Oregon up 28-24. However, freakin Meeeeechigan returned the ensuing kickoff 95 yards for a TD to put them up 31-28.

My starting QB (the speed QB) came back and led the game-tying drive. I had to settle for a FG after getting a little too conservative, I think. So it's 31-31 with 1:25 left in the game...and what do you know? Michigan drives all the way down to the 3 yard line and kicks a FG with :05 left.

My desperation Hail Mary at the end of the game was batted down and that was your ballgame.

Here are some team stats:

Oregon-361 yards of total offense, 279 yards passing and 82 yards rushing. 2 turnovers.

Michigan-287 yards of total offense, 248 yards passing and 39 rushing yards (on 20 attempts). 0 turnovers.

The turnovers and their kickoff return TD was the difference in the ballgame...

If i do say so, Michigan severely out-manned us so I was fortunate to be in a position to win at the end...but i'll only get better the more I play with them....SO WATCH OUT USC!

How do you know he hasn't accepted the invite? I see him on my dynasty headquarters screen? Send him an Xbox Live message, and I'll do the same.

I don't mind that you simmed the game. I think it was more fair that way.

I'm changing my team a good bit this year. After I was schooled by a 3 man front in the NCG, I realized I need a better running game. I have two good HB and a quick 2nd string QB, so I switched my playbook to FSU for now. I played a dynasty with them before and it seems to be a good balance of running, short and deep passes. I would have liked at least one 5WR set, but I think I'll manage.

Yeah, the game vs OU will decide my season. My recruiting was terrible last year so I'm trying to make a notable improvement since this league seems to be going strong.

Does anyone have another playbook they recommend for me?

SMU has a nice, nice playbook. Not a lot of running...mostly sweeps, options, and draws, but a lot of passing options...long, medium, and short. I won back to back NCG's in an offline dynasty with SMU, and they're a pretty terrible team.

The slants, screens, and short curl routes worked just as effectively as a running attack. You should try it out.

I was fortunate to play FIU first week... the heisman level toughness deffinatley took me off guard. and now my fastest RB is out for the season and Im having to put a WR at the starting spot because my other RBs are too slow for the way I run the ball.

i like Vandy's Offense. Its a form of the spread. A lot of shotgun formations, and a few decent packages with the run. I think its set well for a 60/40 pass/run maybe 70/30.

To the nastynelly post, i also see on the headquarters that his opponent's invite is still pending.

Yea, the dude hasn't posted on here since he asked to be in the dynasty. I Xbox Live PM'ed him, and got no response. When I get home tonight I'll boot him and then you can play the CPU.

Yah Mo Be There, do you want the stats from the games we played? I just got done putting a beat down on Bama so if you want the stats, I can do that.

Also, I do have a reason why I think AA is better than heisman. First, yes, it is VERY easy. However, the thing I like is the fact that people can put up ridiculous numbers. The reason I like this is because it makes the race for the heisman interesting. I don't know about yall, but I love checking the stats and leaders for awards. It's kinda cool when you think one of your players had a big game just to find out the USC running back had seven touchdowns. Then in the next game I'm trying to do better stuff with my guy. Thats just my opinion.

i don't mind the good numbers i just like a balance and that it doesn't look out right ungodly... i don't check the stats every week but i like to keep an eye on how i rank among other teams. I, personally, have never played in a dynasty with so many others so i may check more often to see how i rank among others who play.

i haven't been online what are the chances we get an early advance? how many hasn't played without me having to turn on the ole-x-box.

It's up to you. I just think its fun to let everyone else know what's been going on with the games.

Tell that to Gugich and the people who lost to the computer on AA last season (like nino).

Yea, I do thoroughly enjoy the stats and awards races that go on in the online dynasty.

That was on Heisman difficulty by the way.
