Out of curiosity, how does it work when the army website says "up to $400,000 bonus" for jobs like surgeon and anesthesiologist?

And mostly likely Linguist, nurse or warrant program jobs and the such. Regular Jobs in the Army may have bonuses but not $50K.

Is t it also 1/2 on AIT completion and the other half annual over the remainder of the contract.
Now RE-enlistment bonuses are lump sum and you can usually re-up while deployed to some shitty locale so you pay no taxes if you play your cards right.
