Or was Six Flags more fun? Just curious having watched a documentary about the park and its current state.

It was in New Orleans East. It was nice for about three days.

Six flags added a modern rollercoaster that was awesome. I think it was called “The Joker”. Other than that I don’t remember many differences.

I didn't know the 2 were different.

Six Flags seemed to have more rollercoasters from what I remember.

If you like scary rides, Jazzland.

If you like safe rides, 6 flags.

I was in middle school in its heyday. I always had a good time there. I loved the wooden coaster.

Jazzland sucked. It had run of the mill cookie cutter rides / coasters that you'd find at a place like blue bayou. Only thing decent was the wooden coaster.

I remember Jazzland having some sort of bungee jumping setup that looked pretty unsafe.

The first six months or so it was legit, from what I remember.

I grew up in Lafayette and we went once and had a bad experience. After that, we just kept going to Astroworld as it was only 2 hours further, safer, was in Houston, and had better rides plus a waterpark.

Neither one was very good. It got a little better when 6 flags took over. It needed better roller coasters.

It was actually very nice.. with a huge wooden coaster Zephyr that was like the Texas Cyclone and some other cool rides. The only prob was not enough trees for shade and of course that it was in NOLA East. Should've put in Kenner by the lake like Pontchatrain Beach.

Decent for a day off excursion, nothing to brag about though. I went a few times but wouldn't have ever thought of buying season passes because it was pretty small.
