- Was he in good mind when he passed-
At 97 he still played a hell of a game of chess. He was honored by the DDay Musuem for his war medals. He won a national collegiate boxing championship at USL before the war. He graduated from Tulane and he sent his sons to LSU. He was a big LSU fan. He passed on January 4 a year ago
