I was 33, Dad was 64. Died after battling lung cancer for a little over a year. Lost my mom suddenly from an aneurysm when I was 19.
Both deaths hit me emotionally in different ways due to their manner and my age at the time they happened. Still, I miss them both dearly every day.
The pain of loss is strong and deep at first, but does become manageable over time. I am sorry to hear of you and your father's situation. I wish you both peace and comfort.
