This thread is a non-story. High school awards, like all-state, are generally given based on on-the-field performance.
Recruiting rankings are based on potential.
The two do not necessarily agree.
There have been many situations where a highly recruited player was left off of all-state teams, in place of a guy who was not a college prospect at all, but had a better year on the prep level.
