Since it's 2 out of 3 (so, shouldn't go over 3 hours) and 500 points if you win the tournament, I think they put near maximum effort. Winning this tournament kind of lets them take it easy at one of the next two. Med could punk out if it gets tough, I guess.

True, and I guess the flip side argument is that Daniil might have no pressure and be able to play better.
