You can't see how NIL will and can irreparably change the sport? Used to be, a kid signed with a school for a few different reasons. Wanted to win. Wanted a good education. Wanted a spotlight in order to maybe get to the next level. Now it will come down to who can offer the best NIL deal. Schools with the boosters willing to shell out the big bucks will load up on talent, and those schools will dominate recruiting, and CFB, with average coaching. There's a reason why the NFL went to a salary cap a long time ago.

It’s been that way for awhile, only difference is it’s legal now.

When's the last time TAM had the #1 recruiting class? When's the last time they won a natty? SEC championship? Big 12 championship? SWC championship?

Fact of the matter is, it's legal to buy players now, and TAM is loaded with money to burn, hence the #1 class.

I still believe that you are going to end up with teams of prima dona's with attitudes that conflict with the team's overall play (looking at Rattler as poster child for NIL conflict). Once boosters see really expensive teams imploding or the NCAA sees schools with nothing but five and four star players and a $100 million roster, they are going to clamp down. Boosters will be more pragmatic about floating huge wads of cash, and the NCAA puts limits on NIL money and in-season transfers. Also, they need to go back to sitting a year if they transfer, unless they've already graduated.

Hopefully,
