Not me. Did read about that but was just wondering why some get federal tickets and some of my buddies just pay a fine to the parish court.

Anything related to migratory game birds is Federal.
other violations such as fishing and hunting of deer, squirrels, rabbits falls under state jurisdiction.
Federal it all depends, the old judge in lafayette was brutal. Mildred Methvin. She handed out very harsh sentences for duck hunters who just made a mistake.
