I agree with you in general but won't coaches still have to grovel for kids in the transfer portal? I don't see playing to these kids egos going away any time soon. If anything NIL would inflate that not suppress it.

no groveling will be necessary. Just who makes the biggest arse offer. I wouldn't be surprised if one day the players are paraded around like horses at an auction. They simply agree to go to the highest bidder.
