Would be smart and beneficial to the players to wait until after bowl game to name the coordinators at this point. As soon as he announces Peetz and Daronte will be looking for their next job and not 100% focused on bowl game prep. Also, if the future OC/DC is in the playoffs or significant bowl game they wouldn’t be much help before game is over. After bowl game is over, we have an entire month to announce next coordinators and recruit before NSD. Not a ton of value to announce now imo…. He will also demonstrate that he has the players best interest in mind….

Yes, you're wrong imo. The bowl game doesn't matter that much. The main benefit is the extra practices.

Are you this stupid to think that Kelly cares about the Texas bowl and Peetz/Jones aren’t already looking?

LSU will be starting a walk on or a WR in the bowl and will have a gutted roster due to opt outs, transfers, and academic casualties - you think anyone gives a damn about the Texas Bowl?

There's no fricking way Peetz thinks he's retaining the OC job

The schools we're recruiting against will have that month and more.

Perhaps he's an a-hole and no one wants to work with him.

by the way... probably not our bowl game.

Likely waiting on other people's bowl (or reg. season if NFL) games.

Asst coaches earn bonuses for bowl games. Even Les Miles waited til after bowl games to let staff go so they could earn their bonus. That's what CBK is doing. Letting his new OC and DC earn bowl bonuses or nfl playoff bonus pay.

You don't think peetz and Jones are already looking for their next job? I'm sure they have a good sense if they are staying or not.

Wrong. It doesn’t matter at this point but it’s not having an impact anyway. BK isn’t being “smart”, he’s just doing things his way. Some may like, some may not. No gains for him to wait, no loss for him not to. It’s a wash so you’re wrong.
