Ask yourself this: "If Jones was dismissed today, who would be the defensive play caller for the bowl game?"

Possible answers:

A) A new DC hire who has no experience with the defense the players know.

B) A new DC hire who tries to implement his defense in less than 60 hours of football activity (20 hrs per week, no more than 4 hrs. per day). Football activity is defined as practice, meetings and film study.

C) Someone presently on staff who has not had this responsibility all year.

D) Stand pat and proceed with DC hire after bowl game.

Which of the above would most likely have the best outcome?

This bowl game means absolutely nothing win or lose it doesn’t mean anything. There are some meaningful snaps for players but it doesn’t really matter who calls the defense.

"D" Besides it would be a great opportunity for Deronte to show how good he can be without the influence of coach "O"
