Hanging Of The Lincoln Assassination Conspirators
John Wilkes Booth was working with nearly ten other conspirators around the time he assassinated Abraham Lincoln. These Confederate sympathizers planned to revive the Confederacy by assassinating Lincoln as well as Vice President Andrew Johnson and Secretary of State William Seward.
Unlike Booth, they failed to follow through. Like Booth, they were eventually captured and killed. On July 7, 1865, four of the plotters — Mary E. Surratt, Lewis T. Powell, David E. Herold, and George A. Atzerodt — died at the end of a rope in Washington, D.C.

Raising The Flag On Iwo Jima
While the iconic photo of U.S. Marines raising the American flag at Iwo Jima on February 23, 1945 became perhaps the defining image of World War II, that photo captured not the first, but the second flag raised there that day.
Pictured here, a group of Marines secure the first flag raised atop Mount Suribachi. It was this flag, and not the second one, that both signaled victory to the American troops below and remained in their memories for the rest of their lives.

1948: Babe Ruth's final appearance at Yankee Stadium
In June of 1948, American baseball legend Babe Ruth made his final appearance at Yankee Stadium. Weakened by the cancer that would soon claim his life, friends helped Ruth into his uniform. "He looked tired, very tired; the power that had been his in his youth and manhood was slowly ebbing away,” photographer Nat Fein recalled. The beloved sports icon nevertheless received a roaring ovation from the stands, and Fein’s image, shot for the New York Herald Tribune, won a Pulitzer Prize the following year.

Whenever I see the picture above I always think of the one below. I know poor taste but my sense of humor has always been a little warped.

Someone needs to hold a mirror up to this Klan meeting. Lol, wtf are you talking about, there's no Klan meeting going on around here. Melodramatic dipshit. How about you do the honorable thing and specifically name the people you're referring to
That’s the staple card his crew on the left has to work with!
