And he didn’t get that way by spending money on stuff not required by law. I hate Bezos but he can’t predict what Mother Nature will do. Could he have put shelters in. Yes but it’s not required. You ask any wealthy business man or woman would they be willing to spend extra money on something that is not required by law and I promise 99% will say hell no. They answer to the stockholders and no one else.

When I worked in manufacturing the company I worked for went above and beyond the OSHA regular regulations. They were willing to spend millions to not have a bad name for employee deaths.
