So apparently electrolysis used to make hydrogen from water takes a lot of electricity to do, so most hydrogen produced today does come from hydrocarbons.

Seems like whether it’s charging lithium batteries or producing hydrogen we’ll need a shite ton more electric power grid capacity either way - more nuclear plants. At least with hydrogen you don’t have to strip mine for lithium.

Personally I’m cool with gas & diesel - green is still a lot further out than anyone realizes. EV‘s aren’t scalable with current technology.
